(In late 68 or early 69, 59-0134 suffered ground fire damage when the
drop tanks were accidently ejected at the conclusion of a WSEM load.
The fire damaged both wings, the rear fuselage and the vertical stabilizer.)
05 Feb 69 - AFLC directed shipment to ATC at Lowry AFB CO as a
munitions trainer as the aircraft was rendered unflyable
and unrepairable by the ground fire. (A/C shipped the week
of 12 May 69)

Aug 2002 - During cosmetic external restoration and painting by the 144th FW from
Fesno CA ANG, it was discovered that the entire nose section from the
cockpit bulkhead forward was simulated, including the radome. The
attempted radome repair was temporary until research was initiated to

May 2003 - Radome was removed & transported to 144th FW Fresno CA ANG. Click
